Show Choir Camp

In this one-week day camp young singers and dancers will experience a the thrill and excitement of being a part of a broadway show-type chorus as they perform popular tunes both modern and golden oldies. This camp focuses on learning songs and dances and will culminate with a performance Friday, June 13 at the Tuscola Community Building for friends and family.

Show Choir Camp Dates:  June 9-13

Times:  Monday-Friday  8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Musical Theatre Camp
Music Theatre Camp
In this two-week day camp young performers will experience a little of every aspect of musical theatre -- acting, singing, movement, dancing, costume assembly and scenery construction -- as they produce their own 90-minute stage musical, "The Nifty Fifties".  The camp will conclude with two performances for family and friends June 28th at the Tuscola Community Building.

Dates: June 16-19 (no camp Fri., June 20)           and June 23-27

Times: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Performances:  Saturday, June 28

                    at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

About Our Camp Director    
Jodi Prosser has directed, performed in, and choreographed countless school and community theatre productions throughout Central Illiois. A long-time director of children's shows for the Villa Grove Community Theatre, Actors Rural Theatre Company, Holy Cross Catholic School and St. Thomas Moore High School, to name a few, Jodi attended Eastern Illinois University majoring in Musical Theatre and taught at EIU's Summer of Excellence program for kids. Jodi has directed both swing choir and summer musical theatre camps for several years and has developed a following of students who have gone on to perform in community theatre, high school and college productions. Her enthusiasm and love for the theatre continues to inspire youth to pursue their interests in music and acting and to develop a life-long appreciation for the performing arts.
